Prenatal and Birthing
A healthy pregnancy starts with good prenatal care. Access Island County services that can assist with prenatal health, newborn care, nutrition, breastfeeding support, and child development.
Newborn (Birth - 3 Months)
The first months come with a lot of questions. Access support services in pediatric care, developmental health, dentistry, breastfeeding assistance, basic supplies and needs, parenting guidance, community supports and more.

Infant (3-12 Months)
As your baby grows, regular well-check exams with a pediatrician ensure they are meeting developmental milestones and staying healthy. Parenting programs offer support on topics like sleep routines, feeding, and early bonding. Other resources in dentistry, nutrition and playgroups become even more helpful.
Toddler (1 - 3 Years)
Pediatricians support toddlers’ growth with health checks, vaccinations, and guidance on nutrition and behavior. Early learning activities such as playgroups and library storytimes build development and social skills. For concerns about speech or behavior, early intervention programs offer specialized support.
Preshool & Pre-K (3 - 5 Years)
Before starting school, children can benefit from health exams with pediatricians, structured learning in preschool programs, and support from specialists if developmental delays are present. Parenting groups and family programs also provide guidance and connection during the preschool years.
Kindergarten to 2nd Grade
Supporting children in their early school years includes building their social skills, engaging in mentorship opportunities. Mentorship and recreational programs, as well as emotional well-being supports are available to help with these early academic years.
